Rights group: 1,000 days of isolation for Palestinian captives in Zionist regime’s prisons

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that 1,000 days have passed since Palestinian captives in Zionist regime’s prisons were isolated and deprived of their rights, including their right to communicate with the outside world.

The commission said on Sunday that the isolation continues amid Zionist regime’s ongoing ban on visits by the International Committee of the Red Cross, preventing it from visiting detainees and examining their conditions.

The Asra Media Office had previously documented a sharp escalation in violations against Palestinian captives in Zionist regime’s prisons during July, including torture, starvation, medical neglect, and isolation, as the number of detainees reached unprecedented levels.

In a research paper, the office said the number of Palestinian prisoners has reached 9,400, including 94 women and 350 children.

The figure also includes 3,244 administrative detainees and 1,320 Palestinians held under what Zionist regime calls the “Unlawful Combatants Law.”

The Asra Office added that more than 24,600 arrests have been recorded since the Zionist regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip began.
