Resistance officials hold talks with Iran FM, offer condolences on Leader’s martyrdom

Officials from the Resistance Front have held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, extending condolences on the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in terrorist US-Israeli strikes.

The meetings took place on Saturday, on the sidelines of the late Leader’s funeral ceremonies that are expected to draw between 15 and 20 million mourners.

Khalil Hamdan, who represents Lebanon’s Amal Movement and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, conveyed a message of sympathy with the Iranian nation and government.

He also appreciated Tehran’s principled stance in support of Lebanon’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, as well as its insistence on a halt to Israeli attacks against the Arab country.

Araghchi, for his part, praised the steadfastness and resilience of the Lebanese people in the face of the Israeli regime’s threats and aggression.

In another meeting, Mohammad Fneish, representing Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, held talks with the top Iranian diplomat.

Fneish praised the Iranian nation’s steadfastness and resilience, the Armed Forces’ powerful defense of the country, and the negotiators’ expertise in the diplomatic arena—particularly regarding their support for Lebanon.

Araghchi, in turn, said that the Islamic Republic is seriously pursuing an end to the war on Lebanon and the termination of Israeli occupation, in accordance with Clause 1 of the Tehran-Washington Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Additionally on Saturday, Muhammad Darwish, head of Hamas’ political bureau, met with the Iranian foreign minister and commended the courageous stance of Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei in support of the Palestine cause and the nation’s legitimate resistance against the Israeli occupation and crimes.

He also hailed Iran’s success in both the battlefield and the diplomatic arena as a victory for the entire Resistance Front and the Muslim community.

Araghchi, for his part, reiterated Iran’s continued support for Palestine until the realization of the nation’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with the holy al-Quds as its capital.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) Talal Naji and PFLP deputy head Jamil Mezher held talks with the top Iranian diplomat, expressing the solidarity of Palestinian people and factions with the Islamic Republic.

Araghchi said, “The Zionist enemy and the criminal US imagine that they can destroy the resistance by physically assassinating its leaders; yet in reality, the pure blood of the resistance martyrs has led to the disgrace and defeat of the American criminals and the Zionist regime.”

Separately, during a meeting with Yemen’s Deputy Prime Minister Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Araghchi commended the courageous and honorable stance taken by the Yemeni government and people in condemnation of the recent illegal US-Israeli military aggression against Iran.

He also stressed Iran's readiness to use all diplomatic capacities aimed at lifting the blockade on Yemen and implementing the country’s peace roadmap.
