Gaza residents protest ongoing Israeli ceasefire violations
A demonstration was held on Tuesday in Gaza City in protest against the ongoing daily and systematic Zionist regime’s violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The demonstration, organized by Palestinian national and Islamic factions, was held outside Al-Shifa Hospital to protest the continued Zionist regime’s violations of the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
The participants said that Zionist regime’s war on Gaza has not ended but is continuing through different methods and tactics, citing ongoing daily and systematic violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Protesters carried banners calling on the international community to take urgent action to stop the violations and hold Israel accountable for repeated breaches of the agreement.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said that “the war on Gaza has not stopped but continues in different forms,” accusing Zionist regime of violating the agreement through restrictions on aid deliveries, the closure of border crossings, the westward expansion of the so-called “yellow line,” and the imposition of collective punishment.
Qassem said these actions place political, legal, and moral responsibility on mediators and guarantor states to pressure Israel to comply with the terms of the agreement.
He added that Palestinian factions are consulting with mediators on mechanisms for implementing the second phase of the agreement, including proposals related to an international force and a Palestinian administration for Gaza. According to Qassem, the factions are approaching these proposals “positively and responsibly.”
He also said Hamas is prepared to cooperate with any arrangement that guarantees an end to the war and the start of Gaza’s reconstruction, adding that the movement is willing to hand over administration of the territory, including both civil and security responsibilities.
For his part, Daoud Shehab, a senior official in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, blamed Israel for continued violations of the ceasefire agreement, saying that casualty figures demonstrate that the conflict continues in different forms despite the truce.
Shehab said that more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 3,000 injured since the agreement took effect, warning that continued violations threaten the stability of the ceasefire and risk renewed escalation.
Political analyst Taysir Muhaysin said Israel has committed thousands of violations since the agreement entered into force, including restrictions on civilian movement within Gaza and expansion of the “yellow line,” which he said has displaced thousands of families into increasingly crowded areas.
He added that restrictions on humanitarian aid have worsened living conditions and caused severe shortages of essential supplies, deepening the humanitarian crisis and daily suffering of Gaza’s population.
According to Palestinian sources, Zionist regime’s violations had resulted in the deaths of 1,021 Palestinians and injuries to 3,260 others as of Monday.
The sources also said that humanitarian conditions in Gaza have seen little improvement because Zionist regime failed to fulfill key obligations under the agreement, including opening crossings and allowing agreed-upon quantities of humanitarian, medical, and relief supplies into the territory.
The ceasefire agreement followed two years of war that began on October 8, 2023. According to Palestinian figures cited by protest participants, the conflict has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians, injured over 173,000 others, and caused extensive destruction to roughly 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
