Zionist regime launches large-scale arrest campaign across West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOC) carried out a large-scale arrest campaign across multiple areas of the West Bank early on Thursday, detaining more than 24 Palestinians.

Local sources reported that the IOF stormed the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, deploying across its neighborhoods, raiding and searching dozens of homes, and vandalizing their contents. At least 17 Palestinians were arrested during the raids.

In Nablus, Zionist regime's special forces raided the home of a wanted Palestinian, Imad Ba’ara, in the al-Ta’awun al-Awsat neighborhood and arrested him. The forces reportedly infiltrated the area before being reinforced by additional military units, who forced entry into the house, damaged its contents, and detained him.

In a separate incident in Nablus, a Palestinian was rounded up after IOF stormed his home on Street 10. IOF troops also stormed Askar New refugee camp east of the city, raiding several homes.

South-west of Jenin, Zionist regime's forces carried out raids in the town of Kafr Ra’i, arresting former prisoner from his home.

In Occupied Jerusalem, Zionist regime's forces stormed Qalandia refugee camp north of the city and arrested two Palestinians after raiding their homes.

In the southern West Bank, Zionist regime's forces arrested a young man during a raid on al-Fawwar refugee camp near al-Khalil. Late on Wednesday night, troops also stormed the town of Rafat, west of Salfit, arresting one Palestinian.

Meanwhile, three Palestinian youths were injured on Wednesday evening during an Israeli military incursion at the entrance to Qalandia refugee camp, north of Occupied Jerusalem, amid a heavy military presence.

Local sources affirmed that Zionist regime's forces deployed several military vehicles in the area and fired large quantities of stun grenades and tear gas at residents.

The Palestine Red Crescent confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries after being physically assaulted by Zionist regime's forces and were transferred to the hospital, while a third suffered from tear gas inhalation.

Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Zionist regime's forces, and a fire broke out on the roof of a building after tear gas canisters were fired intensively near the camp entrance.

The incursion coincided with heavy traffic movement along the road connecting to Kafr ‘Aqab, Ramallah, and al-Bireh.

In a related development, a large Zionist regime's military force, supported by armored vehicles and a bulldozer, stormed the town of Beit Ummar from multiple directions, surrounding the Jabal Sabbarneh area where a family home was located.

The forces imposed a strict security cordon, preventing residents and journalists from approaching, before military engineering units planted explosives inside the house and detonated it remotely, completely destroying the property and causing partial damage to neighboring homes.
