Hamas slams Israel’s restrictions on humanitarian aid into Gaza

The Hamas resistance movement has condemned Zionist regime’s restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, particularly concerning tents and prefabricated homes.

On Monday, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem emphasized that existing shelters and tents are “uninhabitable and cannot withstand the harsh winter conditions.”

He stated that Zionist regime’s continues to permit only limited quantities of trucks into Gaza, which “do not meet even the minimum basic needs” of its population amid the worsening humanitarian crisis.

Qassem noted that most trucks entering Gaza are intended for the commercial sector, carrying supplementary goods that are not essential for the Palestinian people.

He insisted that Gaza requires trucks loaded with essential relief materials in large quantities to address the needs of over two million residents.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Gaza truce deal included the provision for mobile homes to alleviate civilian suffering.

Qassem urged mediators and other nations to “take urgent and serious action” to facilitate the entry of mobile homes before winter storms impact Gaza.

Zionist regime’s forces have martyred at least 70,103 people in Gaza, most of them women and children, since October 2023.

The ministry said that the number of wounded during that time had reached 170,985.

This grim milestone comes as Israel continues to violate a delicate US-brokered ceasefire in Gaza through almost daily attacks.

Gaza remains entrenched in a dire humanitarian crisis, characterized by extensive devastation, displacement, and shortages of essential provisions such as food, clean water, medical supplies, and fuel.

On October 10, a ceasefire took effect in the Gaza Strip based on a phased plan presented by US President Donald Trump. The first phase included the release of Israeli captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

Zionist regime accepted the Gaza truce deal after two years, following the failure to achieve its declared objectives of eliminating Hamas and freeing all captives, despite killing thousands of Palestinians.

Despite the truce, conditions remain dire. Many Palestinians attempting to return to their homes in northern Gaza face “a daily struggle for survival.” Large parts of the region remain inaccessible due to the continued presence of Zionist regime’s occupation forces.
