Hamas: Settler attacks in West Bank “part of Israeli policy to terrorize and displace Palestinians”
Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi has described the ongoing attacks carried out by settler groups against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including Saturday assault in Bethlehem’s Khalayel al‑Louz village, as “part of an organized escalation and an official Israeli policy to terrorize and displace our people.”
“Such daily assaults, the looting of property, and the unchecked practices of settler gangs across the West Bank, alongside the occupation army’s ongoing military campaigns in the northern governorates, expose the scale of state-sponsored terrorism being carried out under direct political orders from the extremist Israeli government,” Mardawi said in a statement on Saturday.
Mardawi expressed his belief that the Israeli government would never succeed in imposing its colonial schemes, regardless of the size of its brutality and crimes.
In another statement, the Hamas Movement has denounced the Israeli occupation army for escalating its raids and arrests in the West Bank and giving extremist settlers a free hand to terrorize Palestinian citizens.
Hamas described the escalating Zionist regime’s violations in the West Bank as “designated war crimes,” calling on the international community and its organizations to take action to stop them.
