Houthi: Israel suffered disgraceful defeat against Iran in 12-day war

Yemen’s Ansarullah leader has praised Iran for its unwavering support and sacrifices in defense of the Palestinian cause, citing the martyrdom of commanders and a recent US-Israeli military aggression against the country.
In a televised address on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said that Iran sacrificed its commanders, including Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani," on the path of supporting the Palestinian cause.
General Soleimani, an international hero and a key figure in the Axis of Resistance, was assassinated on January 3, 2020 in Baghdad in a drone strike authorized by US President Donald Trump.
”The Islamic republic of Iran with remarkable steadfastness in the face of all challenges and pressures that even led to war acted in support and defense of this front,” Houthi said, referring to a US-Israeli aggression against the country in June.
Zionist regime, he stressed, “suffered a disgraceful defeat in the 12-day war against Iran and received great and painful blows.”
Between June 13 and June 24, Zionist regime and the US waged a deadly act of aggression against Iran, which came to a halt due to the Islamic Republic’s successful retaliatory operations.
Houthi warned that the Israeli regime and the US, whic is complicit in all crimes of the Zionist regime, “continue to be a danger” to the region.
Marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, a prominent Palestinian leader, al-Houthi described him as “a symbol of Palestinian steadfastness and sacrifice in the path of God,” whose legacy of struggle and awareness “will remain an inspiration for generations.”
He also hailed Hezbollah for being at the forefront of resistance, noting that it “has offered many martyrs, including the great martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah.”
Houthi further highlighted Yemen’s own role, saying the country’s armed forces and people “have stood firm and sacrificed in the path of God” as part of their just and sincere stance in support of Palestine.
He underlined that the Yemeni people, despite US pressure aimed at isolating Palestinians, “rose up and feared none but God.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Houthi pointed to Israel’s failure to retrieve its captives without a deal, and noted that despite its “great and horrific crimes, the enemy could not break the will of the Palestinian nation and its Mujahideen.”
He added that the Gaza agreement represents a “major defeat for a regime that possessed significant capabilities and the support of America and the West."
The Zionist regime, Houthi said, “pushed the entire region to the brink of a major war and significant events, and America provided political support to this regime."
Houthi expressed hope that the Gaza ceasefire would hold, allowing for the reconstruction of the area for Palestinians."
However, he noted, "violations of the ceasefire are ongoing, and the volume of humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip has decreased."
"Vigilance and constant preparedness against the Israeli enemy are of utmost importance," Houthi said.
He emphasized readiness to respond to any developments in the current situation, affirming a principle of reciprocity with the adversary: “If you return, we will also return.”
