Hamas: Tortured martyrs’ bodies expose Zionst regime's fascism

The Hamas Movement affirmed that the horrifying scenes appearing on the bodies of the Palestinian martyrs handed over by the Zionst regime's occupation army, showing clear signs of torture, abuse, and field executions, clearly reveal the criminal and fascist nature of the occupation army.

In a statement on Thursday, Hamas said that these scenes “expose the moral and humanitarian depravity that this entity has reached, as it makes no distinction in its aggression between the living and the dead among our people.” Such acts, the statement added, constitute a heinous crime that amounts to genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Movement called on international human rights institutions, foremost among them the United Nations and the Human Rights Council, to document these atrocious crimes, launch an urgent and comprehensive investigation, and bring the Israeli leaders to trial before the relevant international courts, holding them accountable for unprecedented crimes against humanity in modern history.

The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza announced the completion of the reception of 120 bodies of Palestinian martyrs that the Israeli occupation army had withheld during the genocidal war it waged against the Palestinian people. The handovers took place in three consecutive batches: 45 bodies on Tuesday, 45 on Wednesday, and 30 today, Thursday, including dozens of unidentified bodies that have not yet been recognized.

In a statement, the GMO said that official examinations and field evidence show that the occupation army committed crimes of killing, field execution, and systematic torture against a large number of the martyrs whose bodies were recovered. The following findings were documented:

-Clear marks of hanging ropes around the necks of several bodies.

-Direct gunfire from very close range, confirming deliberate field executions.

-Hands and feet bound with plastic ties, documenting restraint before killing.

-Blindfolded eyes and facial features indicating that the victims were detained before being executed.

-Bodies crushed under the tracks of Israeli tanks, in blatant violation of all international laws.

-Signs of severe physical torture on many bodies, including fractures, burns, and deep wounds.

The statement stressed that these crimes constitute a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law, proving that the occupation army has pursued its criminal policies of extrajudicial killings and physical liquidation of detainees and Palestinian civilians.

It called for the formation of an urgent, independent international committee to investigate these heinous crimes committed by Israel and to hold its leaders accountable for the war crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
