GMO: Over 900,000 Palestinians are steadfast in Gaza City

“Over 900,000 Palestinians remain steadfast in Gaza City, holding firmly to their right to stay and unequivocally rejecting all the attempts to force them to leave southwards, despite the brutality of bombardment and genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation,” GMO said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The Israeli occupation is engaged in a calculated campaign of misinformation, claiming the presence of tents, aid, and humanitarian services [in the south], but none of which exist on the ground. Such Israeli lies are intended solely to prompt civilians into abandoning their homes and neighborhoods,” GMO affirmed.

However, GMO added that the Israeli occupation army’s relentless attacks on Gaza City and its brutal crimes had forced about 335,000 citizens to leave their homes and shelters and move south.

GMO also pointed out that its field teams reported on Tuesday that since the large-scale military assault on Gaza City started, over 24,000 of those displaced people had returned to their areas due to the dire living conditions in the south.
