GMO: 66 Palestinian children die of malnutrition in Gaza

The Gaza Government Media Office (GMO) announced Saturday that the number of children who have died from malnutrition has risen to 66, attributing the deaths to the ongoing Zionist regime’s siege, closure of border crossings, and the prevention of food, milk, and medical aid from entering the Gaza Strip.

In an official statement, the GMO condemned the blockade as a deliberate war crime and a crime against humanity, accusing the Zionist regime’s occupation of using starvation as a weapon to exterminate civilians—particularly children—in clear violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

“This is not just a humanitarian disaster—it’s a calculated form of genocide,” the statement read. “Starving children to death is an unspeakable crime, and the silence of the international community is enabling it,” the statement added.

The GMO placed full responsibility for the crisis on Israel and its allies, singling out the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany for their political, military, and logistical support in the ongoing genocide.

It also called on the United Nations, human rights organizations, and Arab and Islamic nations to intervene immediately by pressuring Israel to reopen Gaza’s crossings and allow the urgent entry of food, baby formula, and medical supplies before more lives are lost.

Since October 7, 2023, Zionist regime, with full US support, has been waging a war of genocide in Gaza, resulting in more than 187,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, over 11,000 people missing, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands. The siege has brought famine to all areas of the Strip, particularly affecting infants, the sick, and the elderly.
