Iran Army Chief: Armed Forces Ready to Counter Threats
The commander-in-chief of Iran's army said following the 12-day war of the US and Zionist regime against Iran, the combat readiness of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic has increased proportionate to the enemy threats.
Brigadier General Amir Hatami said the 12-day war has been a unique experience for Iran's armed forces as no country has ever fought an occupying regime supported fully by the West.
General Hatami stressed that the Iranian armed forces are now more powerful than before the 12-day war.
He added that threats posed by the Zionist Regime against Iran are real in nature, so "we have taken them seriously."
Referring to the latest violent unrest in Iran, General Hatami said, under a pre-hatched plot, the enemy turned the protests into riots and then into armed struggle to disrupt the security of the country.
He said the war staged by the enemy is a continuation of the 12-day war through which we have a better understanding of the enemy and its plots.
