Gaza martyr toll increases to 71,419

The ministry also declared that some 171,318 Palestinians have been injured since the onset of the aggression by the Zionist regime, which began on October 7, 2023, according to Palestine Al-Yaum.

It added that Israeli attacks on Gaza have left 442 martyrs and 1,240 wounded since the beginning of ceasefire in October 2025. Palestinians recovered corpses of 697 martyrs from under the rubbles during the same period.

The Zionist regime started the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 to obliterate the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and return its captives from the strip, but the regime failed to achieve both objectives and was forced to reach an internationally mediated agreement with the movement to swap prisoners.

It is worth mentioning that the Zionist regime carried out the aggression backed by the United States, which led to the destruction of 90% of Gaza infrastructures. The United Nations estimated the costs of the reconstruction in Gaza at 70 billion dollars.
