Iran Army forces ready to strongly defend national territory against aggressors: Commander

Iran's Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami says his forces are fully ready to defend the country’s independence and territorial integrity against aggressors.
Hatami made the remarks in a Thursday meeting with the family of Colonel Mohammad Alizadeh, a senior officer in the Air Defense Force, who was martyred during the recent 12-day acts of aggression by the Israeli regime and the US against the Islamic Republic.
“The sworn enemies of Islamic Iran saw that the great Iranian nation and the Armed Forces stood united next to each other, more united than ever, and did not back down an inch from their sacred ideals and goals,” he said.
Under the wise guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Armed Forces once again proved that they are ready to forcefully respond to the enemies, he added.
Hatami emphasized that fighters of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force have always resisted and confronted the weapons and military power of the aggressive enemies with all their might, and succeeded in emerging proud and victorious from the recent Israeli-US war.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.
More than a week later, the United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Zionist regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the illegal assault.
